Volunteer Reading Mentors

This is an accredited, in depth training course that provides individuals with the practical skills to help struggling and reluctant readers within schools. Participants gain huge satisfaction from the knowledge that they are helping to support and inspire young people by improving their reading skills and self confidence.

Adult volunteers are recruited from the general public; from all walks of life, from all sections of the community and across all ages. What they all share is a love of reading and the time, patience and desire to improve the lives of young people in a fun and practical way.

Emergency services/Sports Teams/Youth Groups Volunteer Reading Mentors

This is an accredited, bespoke training course that can be designed to work around your employees' commitments. It provides great team building benefits and volunteers gain satisfaction through the knowledge that they are helping to support and inspire young people by improving their reading skills and self confidence.

The course provides practical skills and techniques to mentor struggling and reluctant readers within schools on a one to one basis.
