Work

As well as raising a company's profile within the local community, volunteering can help to build relationships within teams, boost morale, and provide an opportunity for employees to interact with each other in a non-work setting. This in turn can have a beneficial effect on productivity, attendance and staff retention as research shows that employees return to work feeling motivated and inspired with increased job satisfaction.

Corporate Volunteer Reading Mentors

This is an accredited bespoke training course that can be designed to work around your employees' commitments. It provides great team building benefits and volunteers gain satisfaction from the knowledge that they are helping to support and inspire young people by improving their reading skills and self confidence.

The course provides practical skills and techniques to mentor struggling and reluctant readers within schools on a one to one basis.

The Reading Together Workshop

The Reading Together Workshop encourages parents and carers to understand how to support reading development in the home. It provides tips and techniques on sharing reading, reading for meaning and advice on how to choose resources, all of which increase confidence and enjoyment in reading and can help strengthen the home/school partnership.
